Role Overview

We are seeking a Design Engineer (Civil & Structural) to join our Johor Bahru office. In this role, you will prepare and coordinate civil and structural designs, including infrastructure, water reticulation, and sewerage systems. You will work closely with project teams and consultants to ensure designs are accurate, compliant, and efficiently implemented.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate civil, structural, and infrastructure designs
• Develop engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports
• Collaborate with architects, M&E consultants, contractors, and authorities for design compliance
• Assist in tender documentation, project proposals, and EOI submissions
• Provide technical support during construction to ensure designs are correctly implemented
• Apply engineering principles to deliver safe, practical, and sustainable solutions

Qualification & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
• 2–5 years of design experience (consultancy experience preferred)
• Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, PROTA, STAAD, EPANET or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Malaysian design standards and authority submission processes
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in bridge or bridging design is an advantage
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification or eligibility is an advantage

Salary

Competitive salary range: RM 4,000 – RM 5,000 per month, depending on experience and skills, with additional benefits.
