A wellknown bus and coach manufacturer is seeking a Design Engineer to join the team. This role involves producing and managing accurate technical materials, drawings, and documentation, coordinating with production to ensure vehicles meet customer specifications, sourcing materials and issuing engineering information within required timelines.
Job Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain accurate bills of materials, drawings, and engineering documents.
- Coordinate closely with production to ensure vehicles are built according to customer specifications.
- Source new materials or technology and maintain supplier and material records.
- Design and develop product options using Creo models and create drawings for manufacturing.
- Support development builds by preparing build procedures, documenting modifications, and producing engineering reports.
Job Requirements
- Degree or diploma in engineering, or several years of relevant engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in an engineering environment.
- Knowledge of CAD software (2D/3D) and basic computer skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and produce accurate technical work.
- Strong problemsolving, communication, teamwork skills, and ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
