We are currently looking to fill the following positions for our Australia project:
- Lead Design Engineer
- Design Engineer
- CAD Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project development and engineering teams to understand client requirements and project objectives.
- Design and engineer solar power energy systems, including site layout, equipment selection, electrical circuitry, and interconnection.
- Conduct detailed engineering calculations and simulations to determine system performance, energy production, and financial viability.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for solar power system installations, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Perform shading analysis, solar resource assessment, and energy yield calculations using software tools such as PVsyst or equivalent.
- Evaluate and select solar components, including modules, inverters, racking systems, and balance of system (BOS) components, based on technical specifications, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for potential solar energy projects, providing recommendations and identifying potential risks or challenges.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to solar energy system design, and incorporate them into project designs and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless coordination and successful implementation of solar projects.
- Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases, addressing design-related issues and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders, conveying design concepts, performance projections, and project benefits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in solar power energy system design, preferably with experience in utility-scale or commercial/rooftop projects.
- Strong knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, including module technologies, inverters, racking systems, and BOS components.
- Proficient in using design and simulation software, such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, PVSol, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes related to solar energy system design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for renewable energy and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
- Australian project experience will be an added advantage.
