This ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise and leadership in managing engineering projects from initial feasibility studies through to detailed design, ensuring full compliance with tender and contractual requirements. This role requires effective project management, technical support, and exceptional communication skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute Engineering Design Processes deliver engineering designs from assessment to detailed engineering, strictly adhering to tender specifications.
- Provide technical expertise, oversee project schedules, control costs, and allocate resources efficiently to meet project objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Client's project manager, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation and presentations to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure all designs and deliverables strictly comply with contractual, technical, and industry standards.
- Identify, assess, and communicate potential risks or issues that may affect project performance to management and project teams, recommending mitigation strategies.
- Prepare accurate construction and shop drawings to support project execution and contractor requirements.
- Organize and lead regular design and technical meetings to foster collaboration and promote best value engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering recognized by Singapore PE Board
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant design experience in engineering projects.
- Advanced proficiency in design software such as Plaxis, Slope-W, SAP2000, or equivalent engineering tools.
- Hands-on experience in the design of temporary retaining walls, struts, and walers is highly desirable.
