Detection Engineer

Description

We are seeking a skilled Detection Engineer to join our team in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity with a focus on threat detection and response. You will be responsible for designing and implementing detection strategies to enhance our security posture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement detection rules to identify malicious activity across various platforms.
• Analyze security events and incidents to provide actionable intelligence.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to improve detection capabilities.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest threats and vulnerabilities to enhance the detection framework.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members on detection techniques and tools.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience in cybersecurity or related field.
• Proficient in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, etc.) for detecting and analyzing security incidents.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and security measures.
• Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks and methodologies.
• Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and their security features.
