About the Role
We are looking for a Detection Project Manager to drive the execution and operational delivery of our real-time detection initiatives. You will work closely with the Detection Product Owner, supporting the daily execution of the Detection Squad and ensuring detection priorities are translated into structured plans, clear ownership, and measurable delivery.
A key focus of the role will be supporting the development and operation of our cluster and anomaly detection capabilities — coordinating initiatives related to behavioural clusters, emerging risk patterns, system anomalies, and continuous detection improvement. You will sit at the intersection of product, data engineering, AI/ML, risk operations, and trading teams, ensuring complex cross-functional detection initiatives move from concept to production efficiently and predictably.
What You Will Do
- Drive the day-to-day execution of the Detection Squad, ensuring priorities, deliverables, owners, and timelines are clearly defined and continuously tracked.
- Work closely with the Detection Product Owner to translate detection strategy and product priorities into structured execution plans and actionable initiatives.
- Coordinate the development and continuous improvement of products and processes for identifying, analysing, and processing behavioural clusters and anomalies.
- Establish and maintain the operating cadence of the Detection Squad, including daily execution tracking, planning, prioritisation, delivery reviews, and follow-up on critical actions.
- Own project planning and delivery tracking across detection initiatives, proactively identifying execution risks, blockers, dependencies, and delays.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across data engineering, AI/ML, risk operations, trading, infrastructure, and product teams.
- Ensure incidents, anomalies, and emerging risk patterns are systematically tracked through investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and detection improvements.
- Build transparent delivery reporting and execution metrics, providing clear visibility into detection initiatives, progress, blockers, and outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement of Detection Squad processes, reducing operational gaps and improving execution speed and predictability.
- Facilitate communication and decision-making between technical and business stakeholders, ensuring complex detection topics are translated into clear actions and ownership.
What We Are Looking For
- 5–8 years of experience in project management, delivery management, technical program management, or product operations in complex technology environments.
- Strong experience managing cross-functional technical initiatives involving engineering, data, AI/ML, analytics, or risk teams.
- Proven ability to drive daily execution and delivery in fast-moving environments with multiple parallel initiatives and complex dependencies.
- Strong project management and execution discipline: planning, prioritisation, dependency management, risk tracking, and delivery control.
- Experience working closely with Product Owners or Product Managers and translating product priorities into structured execution.
- Strong analytical and systems thinking, with the ability to understand complex technical and operational processes.
- Ability to work with high levels of ambiguity and turn complex problems into clear execution plans, actions, and ownership.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical, operational, and business teams.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese — required for effective cross-regional collaboration.
Preferred
- Background in financial services, crypto exchange, fintech, fraud prevention, risk management, or large-scale internet platforms.
- Experience supporting real-time systems, detection platforms, fraud/risk analytics, or trade surveillance initiatives.
- Experience working with data engineering and AI/ML teams on production systems.
- Understanding of anomaly detection, behavioural analytics, clustering, or data-driven detection concepts.
- Experience managing incident-to-improvement workflows: incident → root cause analysis → corrective action → product or detection improvement.
- Track record of improving execution efficiency, delivery predictability, and cross-functional collaboration.
