Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior Developer to support Channels and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) systems within a core banking environment. The role focuses on developing and maintaining AS400-based applications, enabling seamless host system integration, and ensuring stable communication between banking channels and backend systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications for Channels & EAI on AS400 platforms
  • Write and enhance programs using COBOL 400
  • Support host integration between core banking systems and external/internal channels
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to integration and data flow
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system connectivity
  • Perform testing, debugging, and system enhancements
  • Support deployment processes and release management
  • Ensure system performance, reliability, and availability
  • Document technical specifications and integration flows

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in COBOL 400 programming (mandatory)
  • Hands-on experience with AS400 (IBM i) systems
  • Knowledge of DB2 databases
  • Experience in host system integration
  • Strong understanding of system interfaces and data exchange mechanisms
  • Experience in troubleshooting and production support
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices
  • Experience with ALDON for deployment automation on AS400
  • Exposure to Channels or EAI architecture in banking
  • Experience in Core Banking or Financial Services domain
  • Understanding of system integration patterns and middleware concepts
