Job Summary

We are seeking a Junior Developer specializing in QR and remittance systems to support and enhance payment applications within core banking. The role involves developing and maintaining AS400-based systems for remittance and real-time payments, ensuring seamless transaction processing across multiple payment channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain remittance and QR payment applications (REM & ROS systems)
• Write and enhance programs using RPG and COBOL on AS400 platforms
• Support integration with external payment systems and channels
• Handle file transfers and messaging using SFTP and MQ
• Work on Direct Connect integrations with partner systems
• Support and enhance payment processing for SWIFT TT, RTGS, GIRO, FAST, PayNow, and other channels
• Perform troubleshooting, bug fixing, and production support activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance
• Manage deployments using ALDON
• Ensure compliance with banking and payment security standards

Job Qualifications

Required Skills

• Strong experience in RPG and COBOL programming
• Hands-on experience with AS400 (IBM i) systems
• Knowledge of DB2 databases
• Experience in payment/remittance systems
• Familiarity with SFTP and MQ for system integration
• Understanding of real-time and batch payment processing
• Experience with ALDON deployment tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Direct Connect integrations
• Knowledge of SWIFT Telegraphic Transfer and international payments
• Familiarity with local payment systems (RTGS, GIRO, FAST, PayNow)
• Exposure to QR payment systems
• Experience in Core Banking or Financial Services
• Understanding of security and compliance in payment systems
