DevOps Engineer

About the role

HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD is seeking a motivated and talented Devops Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals.

What you'll be doing

• Design, implement, and maintain (support) CI/CD pipelines to automate integration and deployment for different and various project teams.

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and deploy new features related to the DEVSECOPS pipeline

• Automate repetitive and manual tasks to improve team efficiency and workflow (understand as a prerequisite Jenkins files, shared lib).

• Implement security best practices, including compliance checks and secure code deployment.

• Promote guidelines and good practices around code branches normalization and other generic devops items.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of proven experience in working as a Devops Engineer. Good understanding of development processes and / or developer experience.

• Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Gitea, Sonar, Nexus, Azure Devops, Terraform, Liquibase).

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g.Azure, AWS).

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g.,Bash, PowerShell, Groovy Python).

• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Grafana, ELK Stack, Prometheus).

• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with secret management such as KeyVault

• Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible).

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently/Autonomously and in cross-functional teams.

• Work experience in Finance, banking or insurance industry is preferred.

• Certification in DevOps practices is a plus.

• Bachelor's or master degree in information technology and/or other demonstrated learning path as a devops engineer.
