DevOps Engineer

About the role

HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD is seeking a motivated and talented Devops Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals.

What you'll be doing

Design, implement, and maintain (support) CI/CD pipelines to automate integration and deployment for different and various project teams.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and deploy new features related to the DEVSECOPS pipeline

Automate repetitive and manual tasks to improve team efficiency and workflow (understand as a prerequisite Jenkins files, shared lib).

Implement security best practices, including compliance checks and secure code deployment.

Promote guidelines and good practices around code branches normalization and other generic devops items.

What we're looking for

6+ years of proven experience in working as a Devops Engineer. Good understanding of development processes and / or developer experience.

Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Gitea, Sonar, Nexus, Azure Devops, Terraform, Liquibase).

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g.Azure, AWS).

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g.,Bash, PowerShell, Groovy Python).

Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment.

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Grafana, ELK Stack, Prometheus).

Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience with secret management such as KeyVault

Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently/Autonomously and in cross-functional teams.

Work experience in Finance, banking or insurance industry is preferred.

Certification in DevOps practices is a plus.

Bachelor's or master degree in information technology and/or other demonstrated learning path as a devops engineer.
