About The Role
As our Digital & Automation Intern, you will act as an in-house Citizen Developer, building the low-code apps, real-time dashboards, and automated workflows that our operators and engineers will use every single day.
What You Will Do (Your Tech Portfolio):
- Support the Supply Chain Division by developing web based applications via Google App Script and/or Replit
- Create intuitive dashboards for data analysis with BI tools such as DOMO and Sigma Computing.
- Assist with requirement gathering for future or follow-up phases of projects within CP.
- Assess current level of digitization for the plant and plan recommended trainings sessions accordingly
- Alias with Global IT teams on implementing approved solutions for advanced digitalization
App Development & Workflow Automation
- Kill the Paper Trail: Partner with shopfloor teams to identify manual, paper-based processes and replace them with custom-built, low-code/no-code applications (e.g., AppSheet, Google Forms, automated workflows).
- Digitize the Floor: Automate our Absolute Material Loss (AML) tracking and digitize our Continuous Improvement (CI) project hopper.
Data Architecture & Real-Time Visualization
- Build the Command Center: Connect raw shopfloor data (like filling weight accuracy from the production lines) to central databases.
- Live Dashboards: Use DOMO, and Advanced Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, Queries, Pivot Tables) to build live, interactive dashboards that the Plant Manager uses to run Daily Shift Meetings.
Applied AI & Predictive Quality
- Machine Learning Prep: Help compile, clean, and structure years of historical batch dosing data to feed into our new Predictive Quality Adjustment AI models.
- Prompt Engineering: Utilize Generative AI (like Gemini or ChatGPT) to automate the translation of complex Root Cause Analysis (RCA) breakdown reports into simple Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Digital Ambassador
- Act as the bridge between technology and manufacturing. You will train line leaders and operators on how to use the digital tools you build, ensuring 100% adoption on the factory floor.
Who We Are Looking For (Requirements):
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mechatronics, or a related highly analytical field.
- Tech Skills: Strong logical thinking and understanding of Trigger & Action automation.
- Intermediate proficiency in spreadsheet logic (Google Sheets/Excel).
- Familiarity with (or strong eagerness to learn) Data Visualization tools (DOMO, PowerBI, Tableau) and Low-Code app building.
- The AI Curiosity: You follow tech trends and are comfortable using Generative AI tools to solve problems and write scripts/formulas.
- The Factory Floor Mindset: You aren't looking for a quiet desk job. You are excited to put on safety shoes, walk the production lines, talk to operators, and figure out how technology can make their lives easier.
Availability: Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months.
