We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Digital Content Creator. Reporting to the Content Marketing Director, this role is the creative engine behind Vistra's visual and multimedia content, producing compelling digital assets that drive engagement and build brand awareness.
PURPOSE OF ROLE
A creative and technically skilled Digital Content Creator responsible for producing high-quality video and static visual content that brings Vistra's brand to life across marketing channels. This role is the multimedia production engine of the content team, translating strategy and messaging into compelling digital assets that drive engagement, build brand awareness, and support demand generation across social media, website, and events.
SCOPE
Reporting directly to the Content Marketing Director, this role sits within the Brand team and is responsible for visual and multimedia output — producing video, motion graphics, and other digital assets that support campaigns, social media, events, and brand storytelling. The role operates a client-service model, receiving briefs from Marketing, Brand, and Regional teams, and delivering creative content against agreed timelines and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Video Content Production
- Produce short-form and long-form video content for social media, website, internal communications, and event promotion.
- Remotely direct, edit, and post-produce video assets including talking heads, interviews, event highlights, product explainers, and brand storytelling pieces.
- Create motion graphics, animated text, and visual effects to enhance video content and increase engagement.
- Develop video templates and repeatable formats that scale content production efficiently.
- Ensure all video content meets platform-specific requirements (aspect ratios, captions, duration).
2. Visual Content Creation
- Create visually compelling content that translates complex B2B topics into clear, engaging visual narratives.
- Develop and maintain a library of design templates, ensuring brand consistency across all visual output.
- Support the design team in producing high-quality assets including social media graphics, infographics, digital ads, presentation visuals, and event collateral when necessary.
3. Social Media Content
- Create native-format content optimised for social platforms, primarily LinkedIn, with engaging visuals, carousels, animations, and short-form video.
- Collaborate with the Content Manager to pair written copy with compelling visuals that maximise engagement.
- Stay current with social media trends, platform features, and content formats to ensure Vistra's content remains fresh and relevant.
- Produce a consistent cadence of social content (minimum 8–10 visual assets per month) aligned with the editorial calendar.
4. Brand & Creative Consistency
- Ensure all visual and video content adheres to Vistra's brand guidelines, visual identity, and tone of voice.
- Act as a guardian of visual brand standards across all digital content output.
- Maintain organised asset libraries and naming conventions for efficient retrieval and reuse.
5. Event & Campaign Support
- Produce video and visual assets for webinars, virtual events, conferences, and internal events (intro/outro sequences, speaker cards, highlight reels, social teasers).
- Create campaign-specific creative assets across multiple formats and channels, working from campaign briefs.
- Support Demand Generation and Regional Marketing teams with bespoke creative content for campaigns and ABM programmes.
6. AI & Emerging Tools
- Leverage AI-powered content creation tools and models to accelerate production, generate ideas, and enhance creative output.
- Stay ahead of emerging creative technologies, tools, and formats (generative AI, AR/VR, interactive media) and recommend adoption where appropriate.
- Develop efficient workflows that combine traditional creative skills with AI-assisted production to maximise output quality and velocity.
ATTRIBUTES / TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Proficiency with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut
- Strong skills in graphic design tools including Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience using AI content creation tools and models is a strong plus.
- Excellent visual storytelling ability with a strong eye for composition, colour, typography, and brand aesthetics.
- Understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices for content formats.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation principles.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple briefs and deadlines simultaneously.
- Collaborative team player comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Brand, Sales).
- Self-starter with a proactive, creative mindset and willingness to experiment with new formats and approaches.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles as they relate to video content (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails).
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- 2–4 years of experience in digital content creation, video production, or multimedia marketing, ideally in a B2B or professional services environment.
- Demonstrated portfolio of video and visual content across multiple formats and platforms.
- Experience producing content for social media channels, particularly LinkedIn.
- Familiarity with content production workflows, briefing processes, and project management tools.
- Experience working within brand guidelines and adapting creative output to established visual identities.
- Exposure to B2B marketing environments and an understanding of how creative content supports demand generation and brand building.
- Experience collaborating with content writers, marketers, and external agencies/freelancers.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Multimedia, Graphic Design, Film/Video Production, Digital Marketing, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in video editing, motion graphics, or digital design (e.g., Adobe Certified Professional) are a plus but not required.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating range, creativity, and technical skill is essential.
