Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role based in Shah Alam for a Digital Content Creator. The Digital Content Creator will be responsible for ideating, producing, and editing engaging multimedia content, including articles, videos, and social media posts, that reflect Makan Network's mission. Daily tasks involve researching cultural and culinary topics, conducting interviews with food industry professionals, and collaborating with the editorial and creative team to ensure content aligns with the platform's vision and standards. Additional responsibilities include managing digital platforms, tracking content performance, and engaging with the online audience.
Qualifications
- Strong content creation skills, including writing, editing, and multimedia storytelling
- Experience in social media management, digital marketing, and trend analysis
- Research abilities, with an emphasis on sourcing accurate and relevant information
- Familiarity with visual storytelling, video production, and photography is a plus
- Passion for food culture, history, and storytelling, particularly in the Malaysian context
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for conducting interviews and engaging with the community
- Ability to work collaboratively within a creative team and adapt to an on-site work environment
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, Food Studies, or related field preferred
