Job Description

As the Digital Energy Software Business Development Manager (BMS/PMS/EMS), your mission is to drive the growth and adoption of Digital Energy software solutions across East Asia, including EcoStruxure Foresight, ETAP and related cybersecurity portfolio.

You will work closely with country sales, marketing, segment and services teams to accelerate software sales, increase recurring revenue, improve customer adoption, and execute go-to-market strategies across priority industries such as Data Centers, Buildings, Utilities, Semiconductors and Industry.

Cybersecurity solutions and services form part of the portfolio and are positioned as key value enhancers for customers pursuing secure and resilient digital transformation.

Portfolio

  • EcoStruxure™ Foresight (EcoStruxure™ Power Operation, Power Monitoring Expert, EcoStruxure™ Building Operation)
  • Real-time electric digital twin (Etap)
  • Cybersecurity solutions and services (CAP/CAE)

Market Strategy & Positioning

  • Establish strong positioning for DE Software and Solutions across priority critical sectors.
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market (GTM) strategies aligned with segment needs (buildings and critical segments like data centers, semiconductor, utilities, industrials, transportation etc.).
  • Develop, localize, enable and drive UVP to differentiate SE solutions with software + cybersecurity demonstrating how DE Software & Cybersecurity solutions can enhance safety, reliability, resilience, and compliance for the key segments of interest
  • Track competitor landscape and articulate market differentiators (e.g. ETAP modeling accuracy, real‑time digital twins, IEC/ANSI compliance, Zero‑Trust digital power security, etc.).

Sales Enablement & Pipeline Acceleration

  • Localize DE Software launch and segment playbooks, pitch decks, objection-handling guides and pricing frameworks.
  • Provide commercial & Marketing enablement the regional sales, segment teams and marketing teams on the scope under the portfolio section.
  • Support customer engagements with tailored presentations and reference architectures.

Segment Intelligence & Customer Insights

  • Translate insights into targeted messaging and relevant solution bundles (e.g., Data Center Electrical Digital Twin + EcoStruxure™ Foresight + Cybersecurity Hardening).
  • Identify high-value customer personas - CIO, CISO, Head of Engineering, OT/SCADA Leader, Reliability Manager - and tailor communication strategies to drive sales Enablement & Pipeline acceleration
  • Build deep understanding of how each critical segment operates, including standards for EMS/BMS/PMS and relevant standards (IEC, NERC CIP, ISO 27001, IEC62443), pain points, operational workflows, and risk priorities and integration of IT/OT cybersecurity standards for hardware and software

Offers Management

  • Performance Management: Responsible for the performance of DE Software (Orders and Sales, adoption, pipeline, ARR), including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Track and analyse business performance metrics, adjusting as needed.
  • Portfolio Management: Marketing and offers management. Owning the marketing 4P deployment and competency development in zone and country team and offers management excellence in product lifecycle and offer launches.
  • Strategic Planning: Adopt global strategy, localize and adapt for East Asia zone, and implement business strategy to achieve growth ambitions and objectives. Operationalize strategy with AMSP, annual operating plan etc.
  • Impact with Marketing 4P: Operationalize marketing 4P for Foresight.

The DE Software business development manager is responsible for promoting software growth and renewals throughout East Asia by applying strict DARR governance. This involves maintaining a robust pipeline, capturing demand accurately, and managing opportunities with discipline. The role collaborates closely with country sales teams and Customer Success Managers in Services to enhance software adoption and achieve the best possible renewal outcomes.

Product:

  • Develop and manage the DE Software portfolio, ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences to drive ARR (Annual recurring revenue)
  • Conduct competitive analysis by identifying and evaluating competitors and customer insights to understand their strengths, weaknesses, strategies, and market positioning, and develop actionable strategies (tailored UVP) to outperform them.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to create and enhance products to meet/exceed the market demand.

Place:

  • Deploy the 4P strategy to drive growth across relevant GTM, via partners, services and systems
  • Collaborate with the GSC and global teams to optimize logistics and supply chain processes, enhancing product availability and cost efficiency.

Promotion:

  • Create and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Utilize various promotional channels, including digital marketing, social media, advertising, and public relations.
  • Analyse campaign performance and adjust strategies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Enable the salesforce of SE and channels with the knowledge and skills needed to promote DE offers effectively.

Price:

  • Master price waterfall and benchmark the selling price against competition based on the strategic competitive position set
  • Develop pricing strategies that gaining market share while maximizing profitability.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to adjust strategies as needed.

What qualifications will make you successful

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent (Electrical Engineering or Science)

Working Experience

  • Minimum 6 to 10 years experience in software (BMS/PMS/EMS), marketing, or business development capacity in the electrical devices, energy, power or building management software industry is a must). Cybersecurity is a differentiation.

Critical Experience

  • Experience in electrical distribution, power management, building management systems, industrial automation, energy management or related industries.
  • Experience commercializing software solutions in critical infrastructure environments.
  • Experience working with multi-country sales organizations and driving business growth through indirect influence.
  • Strong commercial acumen with exposure to recurring revenue, software subscriptions or digital services businesses.
  • Able to build relationships and effectively sell to senior levels at enterprise, government customers and channel partners.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of OT cybersecurity and IEC62443-related concepts.
  • Experience in Data Centers, Buildings, Utilities, Semiconductors or other critical industries.
