Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct forensic acquisitions of various digital media, including computer systems, laptops, mobile devices, and storage media, adhering to chain of custody protocols and ensuring data integrity throughout the process.
  • Perform forensic analysis of acquired data to identify evidence of malicious activity, data breaches, or other security incidents.
  • Analyze digital evidence, including files, logs, system artifacts, and network data, to reconstruct events and identify attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Utilize a range of digital forensic tools and techniques, such as Magnet AXIOM, EnCase, Forensic Tookit (FTK), and others, to recover deleted or hidden data, analyze malware, and extract relevant information from various data sources.
  • Correlate findings from multiple sources to develop a comprehensive understanding of incidents.
  • Prepare clear and concise technical reports documenting the forensic analysis process, findings, and conclusions.
  • Assist the team with day-to-day tasks and projects, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Participate in client projects delivering cyber security professional services, including communication, planning, and analysis.
  • Research and keep up-to-date with the latest digital forensic techniques, tools, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Forensic, Cyber Security, or any related field.
  • Prior experience in digital forensics or incident response is preferred; fresh graduates with relevant coursework are encouraged to apply.
  • Industry certifications in digital forensics or incident response, such as CHFI, CDFE, CFCE, or GCFE or equivalent, are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of digital forensic artifacts, evidence collection procedures, and knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python are a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear reports and present findings.
  • Adaptability and responsiveness to dynamic environments.
  • Good organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated passion for cybersecurity and digital forensics, and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Effective roll up the sleeve work ethic.
