About Us

TRY Coffee (trycoffee.my) is the consumer brand of Project TRY (projecttry.org), an award-winning social enterprise operating since 2015. We partner with indigenous smallholder farmers in Sabah and bring their coffee to consumers across Malaysia.

Our work sits at the intersection of community development and business. Beyond the beans, we run barista training and employment pathways for unemployed and underserved youth. TRY Coffee is what helps make that work sustainable.

We are a small, fast-moving team. You will work directly with the CEO and Founder, alongside Program Leads. Your contributions will be visible from day one.

The Role

We are looking for an energetic, digitally savvy, and creative Digital Marketing & Administrative Intern to support content creation and social media management, marketing collateral design, and day-to-day administrative work.

This is a hands-on, 3-month internship (RM500/month), ideal for someone eager to learn how a social enterprise builds both business and impact while gaining real-world experience across digital marketing, communications, events, and operations.

Expect a mix of desk work, on-ground content capture at our coffee cart and pop-up events, and occasional errands that help keep things running. Outstanding interns may be considered for longer-term opportunities.

What You Will Work On

Digital Marketing & Content

  • Plan, create, and publish multi-platform content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Shopee, including short-form videos and branded visual assets such as social posts, posters, and product graphics
  • Capture photos, videos, and testimonials at community programs, pop-up events, and coffee cart activations
  • Track content and platform performance, including views, engagement, follower growth, and purchase actions across platforms

Administrative & Operations Support

  • Provide ad hoc support for activations and events
  • Process and file receipts

Who We're Looking For

  • Passionate about social impact, sustainable business, or community development
  • Creative, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to follow through independently
  • Familiar with social media platforms and Canva (or similar tools)
  • Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Requirements

  • Based in Kuala Lumpur / Klang Valley
  • Able to work flexible hours when events or programs require it
