Job Description

Job Summary

A digital platform owner is responsible for defining the platform's vision and strategy, managing the product backlog and features, and ensuring the platform meets business goals and user needs. Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, leading cross-functional teams, analyzing performance data, and overseeing the technical aspects of the platform to drive innovation and success.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Vision

  • Define the platform's vision: Establish and communicate the overall strategic direction of the platform, aligning it with business objectives.
  • Gather requirements: Collect, analyze, and prioritize product requirements based on market research, user needs, and stakeholder input.
  • Develop go-to-market and engagement strategies: Create plans for launching new features and strategies for user acquisition and retention.

Product & Backlog Management

  • Define platform roadmap, features and functionalities, integrations - working closely with multiple stakeholders for roll out priotisation - e.g. Balancing between business wishlist, dependancies, compliances, security requirements etc.
  • Manage the product backlog: Prioritize and refine the list of features, tasks, and user stories for the development team.
  • Define features: Work with design and development teams to determine what features to build and how they should function to provide value.
  • Drive product development: Ensure the team is focused on delivering features that align with the product's vision and goals.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

  • Act as a bridge between teams: Collaborate with various departments, such as IT, marketing, sales, and design, to align on goals and execution.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships: Keep stakeholders informed and gather their feedback to ensure the platform meets their needs.
  • Foster collaboration: Encourage a collaborative and performance-driven culture within the team and across the organization.
  • Platform adoption: Ensure the platform is understood, used properly, and delivers benefits

Performance, Operations & Vendor Management

  • Monitor and analyze performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and inform decisions.
  • Oversee technical performance: Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and performs well by working closely with technical teams. Ensure platform decisions follow architectural, data, and cybersecurity standards
  • Ensure compliance: Maintain compliance with brand, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Conduct experiments and implement updates to enhance user experience and platform capabilities.
  • Governance: Approve changes, releases, and enhancements
  • Vendor Management: Manage key vendors delivering the platform or modules and ensure SLAs, performance, and contract obligations are met
  • FinOps / Usage Monitoring / License Renewal: Own the platform budget — build vs run costs, evaluate financial impact of upgrades, licences, and new investments and ensure cost efficiency and scalability.
  • Audit support: Assisting with internal or external audits by providing required documentation, evidence, and responses to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Incident management: responding to and resolving unplanned disruptions or service issues to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
  • Demand management: forecasting, prioritizing, and controlling incoming requests for services or resources to ensure capacity aligns with business needs
  • Problem management: structured approach to identifying the root causes of recurring incidents and implementing long-term fixes to prevent them from happening again

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, enterprise environment, AI and automation with at least 3 years in leadership.
  • Proven success in deploying AI/automation solutions with measurable ROI.
  • Strong knowledge of automation tools (e.g. UiPath, Automation Anywhere), ML frameworks, AI tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in enterprise AI adoption, governance, and vendor partnerships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
