Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Digital Testing Engineer with strong expertise in Digital Banking and Core Banking API Testing to support critical banking transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of digital banking applications and backend core banking integrations through comprehensive testing strategies.

This role requires hands-on experience in API testing, banking domain knowledge, and the ability to collaborate closely with development, product, and business teams to deliver high-quality digital banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Digital Banking and Core Banking applications
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar platforms
• Validate integration between digital channels (mobile/web) and core banking systems
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system testing for banking applications
• Identify, log, track, and manage defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and production release activities
• Ensure compliance with banking security, performance, and regulatory standards
• Participate in test automation initiatives where applicable
• Provide regular testing status reports and risk assessments to project stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, preferably in Digital Banking or Core Banking environments
• Strong hands-on experience in API Testing
• Solid understanding of banking workflows, transactions, and financial systems
• Experience with testing tools such as:
• Postman
• SoapUI
• JIRA / Test Management tools
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, and XML
• Experience in integration testing between digital platforms and backend systems
• Familiarity with SDLC/STLC methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience working in Digital Banking transformation projects
• Exposure to Core Banking systems (e.g., Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube, T24, etc.)
• Knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, Rest Assured, etc.)
• Experience in Agile / Scrum environments
• Banking or Financial Services domain certification
