The Digital Workplace Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring a secure, reliable, and consistent end-user computing environment across the organization globally. This role provides L2/L3 operational support for endpoint devices, Microsoft 365 services, and collaboration platforms, while driving standardization, compliance, and user experience across regions.
The position plays a key role in maintaining seamless workplace operations through device lifecycle management, platform governance, and automation-driven improvements in a global, follow-the-sun model.
Key Responsibilities
1. RUN – Digital Workplace Operations
- Deliver operational support for Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online
- Manage endpoint environments including:
- Device compliance and security baselines
- OS patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
- Application packaging, deployment, and imaging
- Support collaboration and productivity tools such as:
- Microsoft Teams (including conferencing solutions)
- SharePoint Online
- Power Platform (basic operations support)
- Execute end-to-end device lifecycle processes:
- Onboarding, provisioning, and deployment
- Offboarding and decommissioning
- Policy updates and device refresh cycles
- Maintain and update:
- Operational runbooks
- Baseline images
- Knowledge base articles
- Contribute to endpoint and collaboration security:
- Microsoft Defender
- BitLocker encryption
- Endpoint hardening practices
- Ensure smooth follow-the-sun support handovers across global teams
2. ENABLE – Platform Integration & Tooling
- Collaborate with Endpoint Engineering teams on:
- Global device templates
- OS governance and compliance policies
- Partner with Collaboration Platform teams to:
- Align on M365 governance and roadmap initiatives
- Support adoption and user enablement
- Implement and maintain automation solutions:
- Windows Autopilot
- Microsoft Intune configurations
- PowerShell scripting and packaging automation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of:
- ITSM workflows (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Digital Workplace service catalog
3. GOVERN – Standards & Compliance
- Enforce global standards for:
- Endpoint OS versions and patch compliance
- Security configurations and device policies
- Ensure governance across Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms:
- Lifecycle management
- Security and compliance alignment
- Adhere to IT Service Management (ITSM) processes:
- Incident, Change, Problem, and Knowledge Management
4. Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work with Field Services teams for onsite support and escalations
- Partner with Cybersecurity teams on:
- Endpoint hardening
- Threat detection and remediation
- Support global initiatives such as:
- Hardware refresh programs
- VDI enhancements
- Collaboration platform upgrades
Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Relevant certifications (preferred):
- Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Administrator
- MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator)
- MS-900 (Microsoft 365 Fundamentals)
- ITIL Certification

- Strong experience with:
- Microsoft Intune
- Windows Autopilot
- SCCM / Endpoint Configuration Manager
- Solid administration of Microsoft 365 services:
- Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online
- Scripting and automation:
- PowerShell (strongly preferred)
- Understanding of:
