Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead Altera's financial operations in Malaysia. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Altera's accounting operations activities including close, consolidation, legal entity accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. This position will report to the CAO leadership team based in San Jose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the CAO team in Malaysia, providing strategic direction and operational oversight.
  • Lead operations and reporting of key accounting transaction areas including accounts payable, accounts receivable, close & consolidation, legal entity accounting, payroll accounting, among others.
  • Partner closely with local Malaysia FP&A team and Supply Chain Teams; as well as with other CAO teams in the US (Treasury & Tax)
  • Legal entity accounting will require knowledge and compliance with local statutory requirements around all Europe, Middle Ease, and Asia countries.
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide insights and recommendations that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Assist with development and implementation of internal controls and audit processes.
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, legal representative, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Significant experience working directly with a US parent company, and expert ability to navigate the time zone and communication requirements to ensure a highly productive multi-national team environment
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and collaborate across global teams.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and results-driven mindset.
