The Role

  • Responsible for providing strategic financial leadership to the resort, ensuring sound financial management, effective internal controls, and adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting, to support the resort's business objectives and long-term profitability.
  • Lead the financial planning and analysis functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
  • Support business decisions through data-driven insights and financial modelling.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and year-end accounts.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, bankers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain strong internal control systems to safeguard hotel assets and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Lead periodic internal audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure statutory compliance with local regulations, including taxation, labour laws, and financial reporting standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support training and development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Talent Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel accounting systems, Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI), and local regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and hotel PMS (e.g., Opera etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and support a fast-paced operational environment.
