About the Job
This role will based in their Penang facility, overseeing global sourcing operations. You will lead a strategic team while looking after direct and indirect procurement, and working with engineering and NPI counterparts to improve cost efficiency. You will be required to travel extensively mostly throughout the APAC region but occasionally further as well. This is a position suited for experienced procurement leaders from the semiconductor industry with regional experience, looking to contribute in a high-impact role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage both direct and indirect sourcing and procurement activities.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for OSAT, including assembly, lead frame, mold compound suppliers, and tooling vendors.
- Negotiate assembly and packaging pricing with suppliers to achieve or surpass cost roadmap targets.
- Build, maintain, and own a comprehensive cost roadmap database modeling all PI-related costs, including fabrication, testing, logistics, and warehousing.
- Collaborate with PI engineers and supplier engineering teams to drive cost reduction through value engineering initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally to develop financial models for new products, and work closely with the NPI team on supplier identification, evaluation, design rule validation, and RFQ processes.
- Support all administrative functions related to sourcing and procurement.
- Plan, prepare, and lead quarterly business reviews with fabrication and assembly suppliers.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in materials science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering.
- MBA, CPSM or other certification in procurement is a plus.
- Experience in the design and assembly of semiconductor packages
- Strong communication skills at the executive level, both with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders, including strong negotiation skills
- Analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments on a global scale
