Reporting to: CEO / President

We are seeking an experienced R&D Director, to be based in Malaysia to lead innovation and product development in aluminum coating and surface treatment technologies.

This role will drive the company's R&D strategy, oversee new product development, and support advanced coating solutions for coated fin and microelectronics applications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead R&D strategy and innovation for aluminum coating technologies

Drive new product development from concept to commercialization

Improve coating processes to ensure cost competitiveness and high performance

Collaborate with cross functional team, production, sales and marketing teamsto align technology with market needs

Provide technical leadership in surface treatment, coating chemistry, and materials engineering

Manage R&D projects, budgets, and cross-functional teams

Ideal Candidate

• Candidates must hold a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in a relevant field.
• Minimum 10+ years experience in R&D within aluminum materials, coating, or surface treatment
• Strong knowledge of aluminum alloys, extrusion, and coating technologies
• Leadership experience managing engineering or R&D teams
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Japanese nationality or Japanese-speaking candidates preferred ()
• Able to converse in English
