Job Purpose

  • Primary responsibility for managing the credit portfolio and overseeing risk analytics reporting across the group, including Affin Bank Berhad, Affin Islamic Bank Berhad, and Affin Hwang Investment Bank Berhad.

Accountabilities

  • Prepare, review, analyze, monitor and report all credit risk positions and credit risk profile on AFFIN Banking Group (ABG) to the Committees.
  • Monitor and highlight on Bank performance and lending direction as well as compliance with regulatory and internal tolerance limits.
  • Continuously assess, develop and enhance credit risk report for identifying, monitoring and reporting to respective Committees on timely basis.
  • Continuously monitor data integrity in banking systems and ensure reliability for effective control and management of risk exposure.
  • Stress testing of credit risk portfolio in line with BNM and ICAAP requirements.
  • Monitoring and analysis of loan portfolio and asset quality; and highlight risk issues/emerging risk concerns for resolution.
  • Other Ad-Hoc tasks assigned by the immediate superior/Head, Group Credit Risk Management/Group Chief Risk Officer (GCRO).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Statistics, Accounting or related discipline.
  • At least 10 years working experience in banking and risk management.
  • Professional credit certification such as CCP/CCE or any relevant certification is an added advantage.
  • Good exposure in banking & risk management environment.
  • Analytical and self-starter.
  • Inclination with numbers and ability to analyse in depth.
  • Sound knowledge of credit policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of people.
  • Familiar with BNM's credit policy & procedures, compliance and regulatory requirements.
