Job Purpose
Our team ensures timely and effective implementation of DR plans, including ad-hoc testing for system onboarding and technology refreshes. We maintain comprehensive recovery procedures for various scenarios, conduct regular testing exercises, and deliver targeted training to staff.
Job Responsibilities
- Creating detailed strategies for various scenarios, outlining procedures for DR plan recovery steps.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and adhering to relevant industry regulations and standards such as ISO22301
- Evaluate and improve recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) for different systems and data.
- Ensuring robust backup and recovery solutions are in place, including failover mechanism.
- Ensuring data is backed up regularly and can be restored efficiently in the event of a disaster.
- Ensuring that relevant stakeholders are prepared and understand their roles in the DR plan.
- Coordinating disaster recovery efforts with outsourcing service providers.
- Analyzing lessons learned from tests and incidents to enhance the DR plan.
- Constantly test all the L3 & L4 plans based on the agreed scenarios by the regulators example: high peak, month-end, prolong DR test.
- Collaborating with Platform Team whenever there is a Technology change to adopt for Disaster Recovery.
- Enhancing the consolidation activity by having more systems in each swing of Disaster Recovery as part of the consolidated and integrated swing.
- Planning for a component/partial or full site recovery in stages to be ready using technology where possible as part of the readiness process.
- Continue to drive improvements in DR execution efficiency by leveraging automation scripts and specialized tools.
Desired Skills and Responsibilities
- Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related qualifications
- CERTIFIED BUSINESS CONTINUITY PROFESSIONAL (CBCP)/ CERTIFIED BUSINESS CONTINUITY INSTITUTE (CBCI)
- Minimum 5 experience in similar role and expertise. Has been exposed to Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery roles and related fields in IT.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards and best practices related to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
- Possess robust analytical skills and sound conscientiousness.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skill with ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels within the bank.
- High ethical standards and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
