Job Summary
- Document Control Specialist is responsible for providing world class service to Product Configuration Management (PCM) customers and business partners.
- Focusing on continual improvement of processing change management cycle times while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Driving PCM initiatives, programs, clean-up activities and other assignments as directed by the management team.
- Additionally, working with management team to highlight problem areas and make process improvements where possible.
- Working closely with Sr. Document Specialists, internal and cross-functional teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Item Master Creation, Enrichment, Maintenance and Management in Agile PLM system.
- Project Document Release.
- Data Analysis and Reporting.
- ⭐BOM (Bills of Material) Creation and Management.
- ⭐Engineering Change Management.
- ⭐Software Releases.
- ⭐High level of interaction with customers, suppliers and other team members via Teams/Zoom Teleconference or in person meetings as applicable.
- End-to-End New Product Program Support; work directly with Program Team members to document and release all products as required.
- Support Service, Custom Products, Product Marketing, Program Management, Manufacturing, Engineering amongst other teams with the release and maintenance of sustaining or new product, and or changes.
- Support Product Configuration Management with specific project activities, such as but not limited to; clean-up projects, cost-reduction projects, regulatory initiatives, team coverage, etc.
- Work with external suppliers and manufacturers as required; mitigate and solve issues as they arise.
⭐Deliverables
- Assigned task completion within the agreed time frame.
- Meet metric targets on repetitive tasks.
- Meeting minutes for NPI Program BOM Review.
- Contribution to training material and/or process improvement.
Key Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- ⭐Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- ⭐2 - 4 years of experience in a document control, data management, or a similar role.
- ⭐Strong proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
- Hands-on experience with PLM software (e.g., Agile PLM) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Experience in a manufacturing or new product introduction (NPI) environment.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Proficiency in Mandarin to collaborate effectively with international teams.
