.NET Developer - Malaysia-Based Only

This role is strictly open to Malaysian citizens only. Candidates located in Kuala Lumpur or Johor Bahru will be prioritized due to the practical demands of the hybrid setup and periodic travel to our client's Singapore office. This travel requirement is a core part of the role. Applicants who are not Malaysian citizens, and who cannot reliably meet the cross-border travel expectation, will not be considered.

Job Overview

We are a software company providing technology services to a UK-based international logistics firm operating across global markets. We are looking for a skilled .NET Developer based in Malaysia to join our remote-first technology team.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and APIs built on the Microsoft .NET platform, with a focus on carrier integrations, shipping label generation, and parcel tracking solutions for an international logistics platform.

You will work primarily from Malaysia with regular collaborative visits to our client's Singapore office, located near Changi Airport. On office days,

you will engage directly with the client team for planning, technical discussions, and hands-on collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET / .NET Core

Build and support REST APIs and microservices

Develop carrier shipping label integrations

Implement carrier tracking integrations and tracking event processing

Integrate with third-party parcel carrier APIs and logistics platforms

Develop systems for shipment creation, label printing, and tracking updates

Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Work closely with QA teams to ensure quality and reliability

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Contribute to architecture discussions and technical improvements

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience developing with .NET / .NET Core

Strong experience with C#

Experience building RESTful APIs

Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases

Experience working in an Agile development environment

Experience with Git or other source control systems

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Comfortable with regular short-distance travel to Singapore (1–2 days per week)

Valid passport with no restrictions on Malaysia–Singapore travel

Nice to Have

Experience in logistics, shipping, or parcel carrier integrations

Experience developing carrier label generation services

Experience implementing carrier tracking APIs

Knowledge of microservices architecture

Experience with Azure or other cloud environments

Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Understanding of high-volume transaction systems

Based in Johor Bahru or willing to consider JB (advantageous for Singapore travel)
