About the role
We are seeking a talented Drafter to join our team at M.E.I. Consultants Sdn Bhd in George Town, Penang. As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in our Engineering department, responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and diagrams to support the successful delivery of our projects.
What you'll be doing
- Interpreting engineering specifications and requirements to create accurate and detailed technical drawings using CAD software
- Preparing a variety of drawings, including site plans, building elevations, floor plans, and mechanical schematics
- Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings meet project requirements
- Maintaining and updating drawing archives and documentation
- Providing support and advice to project teams on technical drawing-related matters
- Staying up-to-date with industry standards, codes, and regulations
What we're looking for
- Diploma or degree in Engineering Drafting or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Drafter, preferably in the Engineering industry
- Proficient in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret engineering requirements
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
