Provide basic nursing care and patient safety that aligns with the vision, mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the nursing services and the hospital.
Notify the nursing leaders of any situations that impact the quality of care.
Obtain unit reports and assignments at the beginning of each shift/duty and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Unit Manager or Senior Registered Nurse
Communicate promptly with the Unit Manager about any changes affecting the standard of care
Participates in unit meetings, dialogue sessions, and hospital activities.
Operates all company vehicles with utmost care and courtesy, following instructions or authorization from the head of services
Responds to ambulance calls as needed, maintaining an accurate record in the ambulance log book.
Manage with lifting patients, transferring patients from Accident & Emergency to specific wards or hospitals, and managing restless, confused, and aggressive patients.
Standby for call duty during off-duty hours for tasks such as procuring blood and blood products from the blood bank.
Maintains and stocks first aid boxes, promptly responds to emergencies, fetches patients from home or accident sites when instructed, and prioritizes patient safety during transport.
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections, ensuring vehicle readiness by checking gas, oil, water levels, oil pressure, gasoline, water in the battery and radiator, and tire pressure.
Provide the availability of wheelchairs and trolleys for immediate use at the service front, act as dispatch personnel when needed, and replenish supplies and disposable items on ambulances.
Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle, performing minor repairs and adjustments as needed. Verifies the availability of sufficient oxygen cylinders for unit use and maintains accurate records.
Manage clients at Accident & Emergency Services, demonstrating courtesy and empathy during their journey to and from the hospital.
