Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily engineering operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all mechanical and electrical systems.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
- Monitor energy consumption and support the hotel's energy conservation initiatives.
- Execute the Work Order Control System, ensuring timely completion and quality checks.
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, power failures, and lift entrapments.
- Train, guide, and motivate engineering team members to maintain high service standards.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Front Office) to address engineering-related needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or certified Chargeman/Wireman with relevant qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years experience in hotel engineering/maintenance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, M&E systems, building automation, fire safety, and preventive maintenance.
- Hands-on leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and develop a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and ability to work closely with multiple departments.
- Strong communication skills, fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (other languages an advantage).
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
