Role Description The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring high standards of guest service, safety, and efficiency throughout each shift. This full-time, on-site role based in the West Coast Division includes supervising front office activities, coordinating with housekeeping and engineering, and managing guest check-in, check-out, and room allocation. The Duty Manager handles escalated guest concerns, monitors service quality, and supports team members with guidance and real-time problem solving. The role also involves maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures, preparing shift reports, and contributing to operational improvements that enhance guest satisfaction and overall performance.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in hotel operations or front office supervision, ideally within an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership, team coordination, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a professional and inclusive approach to diverse guests and colleagues.
  • Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including attention to detail and proficiency with hotel property management systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to be present on-site as required by operational needs.
  • Knowledge of basic hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures; experience managing escalations and incidents is an advantage.
  • Relevant education in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluency in English required; additional language skills are beneficial in serving an international guest base.
