Responsible for overall EHS data and trends to develop clear action plans to manage short term and long term EHS risk, including but not limited to: environmental impact assessments, job safety analysis and risk assessments, physical demand assessments and related ergonomic exposures (office, operations). Candidate will also be responsible for all the activities related to the facilities management of the building (non-production assets) – cleaning, safety, installations, HVAC, energy efficiency, parking space, fire protection, waste, environment, facility standard, etc.
Job Descriptions:
EHS
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and LEM internal requirements.
- Coordinate with all operating entities to ensure that EHS requirements are incorporated into all company activities and projects.
- Assure that regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure that all safety equipment and procedures are in place and being followed.
- Develop and oversee training programs such as safety training, compliance training, lab/plant inspection, hazardous material handling, emergency response and industrial hygiene.
- Lead, develop and implement programs to reduce the company's environmental impact, such as waste reduction, energy conservation, and pollution prevention.
- Stay current with emerging EHS issues, trends, recommend new initiatives and strategies to continuously improve the company's EHS performance.
- May be point of contact for emergency personnel.
- Development and implementation of EHS management system to drive compliance with all relevant country of operation safety and environmental regulations
- Drive the investigations to mitigate a repeat incident (Act as Lead Investigator where appropriate)
- Ensure that regional inspections and job hazard (risk) analyses are conducted and that corrective actions are identified and implemented, prior to employees being qualified
- Support Engineering design of new processes or installations where hazardous materials will be used, or hazardous processes will be located
- Has the authority to stop the machines in case of safety hazards
Facility
- Manage and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds and associated equipment
- Responsible for the efficient operation of the technical equipment of the building and its safety
- Ensures that all the hygiene standards and norms in the building are strictly monitored and observed; Controls the performance of the cleaning services subcontractor
- Responsible for the storage and disposal of waste materials and their hand over to the corresponding authorized companies;
- Responsible for the different levels of access control to the company
- Oversees the activities of all external providers of services related to the working conditions within the premises of the company
- Organizes and manages the safety and security system in the company
- Responsible for the execution of projects and activities related to the facilities management
- Deploy corrective action to comply with legal & standards requirement
- Ensure continuous follow up of requirement compliance
- Follow EHS indicators related to Facilities consumption (gas, electricity, water, paper, production waste)
- Support the General Manager in other activities indirectly related to production operation such as water consumption and electricity
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Exposure in management systems such as ISO 14001; ISO 45001, and Responsible Business Alliance code of Conducts. Registered with JKKP SHO certification (Green Book Holder)
- Requires at least 10 years of experience, preferably with proven experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years heading the EHS and/or Facility function at a large manufacturing organization.
- Working knowledge and experience in plant facilities
- Experience of working in organizations with diverse Safety requirements. Equip with World-class experience in EHS & Facility Management practices and systems.
- Technical understanding of Safety across diverse and complex businesses. Require advanced technical knowledge in Process Safety, practical experience of performing complex risk assessments, and adequate knowledge of applicable hazard communication.
- Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Position is action oriented, requiring the incumbent to creatively plan and execute various safety and environmental activities with limited resources.
- Adequate technical knowledge in EHS (such as: WWTP, Waste, Water, Air emissions, Audit and Inspection, Industrial Hygiene, Hazard communication, Ergonomics, Lab safety, Process safety and EHS Management Systems).
- Extensive knowledge of Safety & Environmental laws and regulations, local current and upcoming legislation and current best EHS practices.
- Basic project management knowledge and experience
