Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Engineer to strengthen our workplace safety, health, and compliance programs. This role is crucial in driving a safe, sustainable, and legally compliant work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs in line with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits; ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Lead ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certification processes.
- Deliver EHS training to employees and management, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend preventive actions.
- Collaborate with project teams and departments to integrate EHS into daily operations.
- Review technical drawings to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, and reports.
- Act as safety executive representative for property management.
- Perform tasks assigned by superiors and regional FE managers.
Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of EHS management experience in an industrial setting.
- Valid Registered Safety & Health Officer (Green Book) certification.
- Strong knowledge of local EHS laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency inEnglish and Chinese to liaise with China team and local authorities.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in EHS management system implementation and certification.
