Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, and lead the company's compliance with DOSH and DOE requirements, including OSHA 1994 (Amendment 2022), FMA 1967, and EQA 1974.

Serve as the primary EHS Advisor to the management and employees, providing technical guidance on occupational health, safety, and environmental sustainability including ISO 14001:2026 Environmental Management System to ensure a safe and sustainable working environment.

Develop, implement, and refine the company's EHS Management System, internal policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Spearhead comprehensive risk assessments, including HIRARC and Environmental Aspect-Impact assessments, for all operational activities.

Oversee the management of Scheduled Waste (e-SWIS), industrial effluents, and air emission monitoring in accordance with DOE standards.

Design and coordinate EHS training programs, including safety inductions, emergency response drills, and competency-based training.

Manage occupational health programs, including CHRA, Noise Monitoring, and Medical Surveillance for at-risk employees.

Conduct regular workplace audits and lead incident investigations using root-cause analysis to implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Collaborate with HR to integrate EHS excellence into the employee onboarding process and corporate culture.

Analyze EHS performance metrics and safety statistics to provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement to Senior Management.

Supervise high-risk activities, such as installations and repairs, ensuring strict adherence to Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and safety protocols.

Manage the procurement and technical evaluation.

Job Requirements:

Possess BSc/BA in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of working experience as a EHS Officer or similar role

Registered with DOSH (JKKP) as Occupational Safety and Health-Coordinator (OSH-C) candidates possessing a valid Green Book (SHO) are highly preferred.

Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Wastes Management (CePSWAM) holder is a significant plus.

Excellent working knowledge of Malaysian ESH legislation, specifically OSHA (Amendment 2022), EQA 2024 and ISO 14001:2026 EMS.

Proven ability in writing EHS policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical compliance orts.

Strong analytical skills for data-driven reporting and safety statistics.

Proficient in MS Office and experience using safety management information systems or digital reporting tools.

Working knowledge of safety management information system
