Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, located in Cyberjaya. The role involves designing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and instrumentation related to engineering projects. The engineer will collaborate closely with teams to ensure optimal process control, troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
Job description:
- Ensure effective and efficient maintenance services of electrical and field instruments
- Develop bids, proposals, scopes of work, scope changes, correspondence, estimates, schedules, material lists, specifications, theories of operation, programming documentation, design concepts, design drawings and other project documentation per customer and corporate guidelines
- Perform field work and technical research
- Perform technical studies and calculations
- To assist projects team for all electrical and instrumentation control idea and installation.
- To provide technical support to client (internal & external) for any technical matters that arise.
- Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, method statements, calculation, reports, life cycle cost and equipment selection.
- To provide E&I support to subcontractors during construction process
- Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
- Establish and maintain internal documents (e.g. manuals, standards, drawing & forms) and keep all records relevant to facility
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or related field
- Master's Degree (Engineering, Technology, or Business) is an advantage
Certification
- Professional certification such as Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer, or equivalent is a plus
Experience
- 35 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) within engineering or construction industry
- Experience in site survey, installation, testing & commissioning
- Familiar with technical documentation, compliance & procurement processes
- Able to handle client interaction and provide technical solutions
Skills
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, ETAP, IntellEx or similar tools
- Good understanding of industry standards & regulations
