Job Description

Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, control panels, motors, and automated equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in production lines to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and calibration of instrumentation equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and calibration of instrumentation equipment.
  • Execute electrical safety testing including insulation resistance checks and continuity tests.

Control Systems & Automation:

  • Operate and maintain PLC systems and Electronic Operator Interfaces.
  • Monitor and analyze process control data to identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Configure and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), soft starters, and smart drives.
  • Support automation system upgrades and modifications.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate records of electrical drawings, equipment specifications, and maintenance logs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000) and quality management systems.
  • Prepare technical reports and maintenance schedules.
  • Support regulatory inspections and audits.

Safety & Training:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in safety training programs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members when required.

Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, or related technical field.
  • Relevant professional certifications are an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Electrical or Instrumentation Technician.
  • Food & Beverage industry experience is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing or processing environments.
  • Experience with control systems programming and implementation.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with electrical schematic interpretation and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of sensors, transmitters, and process control equipment.
  • Familiarity with automation systems and machine interface software.
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Software Proficiency:

  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SAP or similar maintenance management systems (preferred).
  • Electrical design software knowledge is an advantage.
