About the role
This role involves troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical and automation systems, including PLC systems, VFDs, motor controls, electrical panels, and industrial instrumentation. You will support preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and assist with root-cause analysis and basic mechanical repairs.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PLC systems, including I/O checks, interlock logic, online monitoring, and minor program modifications
- Diagnose and resolve VFD/inverter, motor control, and electrical system faults
- Maintain electrical panels, wiring, motors, contactors, relays, and 24VDC control circuits
- Maintain and troubleshoot industrial instrumentation, including sensors, encoders, and 4–20mA signals
- Support preventive maintenance (PM), breakdown response, and root-cause analysis
- Assist with basic mechanical repairs involving motors, pumps, bearings, and pneumatic systems
About you
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
- 2–3 years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred
- Hands-on experience in PLC troubleshooting; Siemens PLC experience is preferred
- Experience with VFDs, motor control systems, and industrial electrical equipment
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Mandarin is required, as the role involves regular communication with Mandarin-speaking management and teams
Working Hour: Mon - Fri 08:00-17:00 ; Alternate Saturday 08:00-14:00
Location: Port Klang, Selangor
Salary range: RM6000 - RM8000
