Electrical Design Engineer

Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Design Engineer role based in Seremban. The Electrical Design Engineer will design and develop transformer and power distribution solutions, including preparation of electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications. Responsibilities include performing electrical calculations, selecting appropriate components and materials, and ensuring designs comply with international and local standards. The role involves collaborating with production, quality, and sales teams to support manufacturing, resolve technical issues, and address customer requirements. The engineer will also assist in cost optimization, product improvement, and documentation, while participating in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design and Design Engineering, with the ability to create detailed drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering and Electricity knowledge, including power systems fundamentals, insulation coordination, and relevant standards.
• Candidates should possess experience in Power Distribution, particularly related to transformers, substations, and distribution networks.
• Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and electrical design software commonly used in transformer or power system design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Seremban, communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Prior experience in transformer design or power equipment manufacturing is an advantage.
