Competencies Requirements (Education, Training and Experience):
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 25 years of experience in electrical design (fresh graduates with strong fundamentals may be considered).
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of electrical standards and safety regulations (IEC, IEEE, etc.).
- Good understanding of control systems, power distribution, and electrical components.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
- Good communication skill and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of generator control systems is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical layout, design drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation based on project requirements.
- Perform calculations and simulations to ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Design, Project, and Production teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Support preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical specifications for procurement and fabrication.
- Conduct design reviews and propose improvements to enhance system reliability, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to clarify technical requirements and resolve design issues.
- Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases.
- Ensure all design activities are completed within project schedules and quality standards.
