We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Technician to support the assembly, integration, and maintenance of autonomous vehicle systems and electronic control hardware.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Integration & Wiring: Design and build custom wire harnesses. You will be responsible for routing power and communication lines, ensuring high-quality soldering, crimping, and termination for reliable operation in mobile environments.
- Hardware Assembly: Perform the physical build-out of robotic platforms, including the mounting of sensors, actuators, and control enclosures.
- Firmware Deployment: Manage the deployment of control software to various processing units and perform initial bench testing to verify hardware-software communication.
- Field Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and bus analysers to identify and fix electrical faults or communication bottlenecks in the field.
- Mechanical Calibration: Manually calibrate motors, linkages, and feedback sensors to ensure precise physical alignment and system accuracy.
- Prototyping & Fabrication: Assist in the rapid prototyping of new hardware iterations, including basic modifications to enclosures and mounting brackets.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced Soldering: Proficiency in both through-hole and surface-mount (SMD) soldering for PCB repair and assembly.
- Communication Protocols: Understanding of industrial and automotive communication standards (such as CAN, Serial, or I2C) and experience using diagnostic software to monitor data traffic.
- Schematic Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to ensure builds follow engineering specifications.
- Tool Proficiency: Expert use of diagnostic equipment and precision hand tools for electronics.
