ELECTRICAL ENGINEER IN DRAFTING DEPARTMENT

JOB SCOPE

A) Client

1. Involved in site visit to evaluate the current progress at site.

2. Involved in the site measurement and taking-off for variation order assessment.

3. Liaison with Contract department on the preparation variation order quote to client.

4. Preparation and submission of variation order and follow-up to get approval from NSC and DSC to Client.

5. Preparation monthly progress claim to client.

6. Dealing with client for variation order assessment and submission and certify of variation order claims.

7. Re-measurement and taking-off variation order assessment.

8. Prepare all inspection form related to projects such as insulation test form, site acceptance form, etc. as and when required.

9. Prepare and review documents related to electrical and instrument equipment such as technical data sheet, single line diagram, general arrangement drawing, typical installation details, layout drawing, bill of materials, schematic diagram and block diagram, etc.

10. Advise and prepare documents which include the technical data, technical specifications, drawings, BQ to procurement department and suppliers.

11. Tracking, monitoring, updating and reporting of submission and approval status.

12. Monitor work progress at site as per work schedule and report to Senior Manager (M&E Building Services).

13. Liaise and coordinate with sub-contractors and/or vendor before and during testing and commissioning.

14. Perform testing and commissioning

- Ensure the manpower and calibrated equipment are available.

- Ensure that all vendors supply material/parts, conforms to quality and specified requirement.

- Liaise, coordinate an attend meeting with vendors and client.

- Provide reports to Senior Manager on progress and any problem arises.

- Ensure that all the test are performed in accordance with approved procedures and measure safety.

- Ensure that all documents and drawings are updated for final as-built revision.

- Ensure that all required documentation and information are signed-off and handed over to client and attend all services requested by clients.

15. Witness Factory Acceptance Test as required.

16. Assisted in construction, hook-up and commissioning.

17. Perform electrical engineering activities and review activities.

B)Sub-Contractors

1. Verification of sub-contractor monthly progress claim and liaison with Contract department for sub-contractor final account.

C)Monitoring and Reports

1. Preparation and submission to the Management and Finance department

- Monthly Status Report on main claim and certification from Client.

- Monthly Status Report on sub-contractor claim and certification.

2. Interpretation and monitoring financial and contractual progress with respect to the project schedule.

3. Liaison with Senior Manager M&E (Building Services) as well as Management for forecast and planning with respect to financials and contracts.

4. Any other duties/tasks assigned from time to time.
