Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical systems within industrial or process plant environments, alongside the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and collaborate effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, engineering, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of electrical systems, including:

• HV/LV switchgear
• Motor Control Centre (MCC)
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
• DC Chargers and AC UPS systems
• Electrical control systems
• HV/LV motors
• Transformers
• Earthing / Lightning Protection Systems (LPS)
• Electrical Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) activities

2) Establish and maintain collaborative authority with contractors/suppliers

3) Ability to influence/convince cross functional teams including superiors

4) Strong problem solving and project management skills.

5) Good oral & written communication skills in English language to explain and document reasoning for decisions.

Key functional skills:

1) Experience in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Electrical equipment/installation.

2) Detailed technical knowledge of relevant electrical equipment and systems.

3) Good background in electrical safety with knowledge of hazards involved in operation and maintenance of electrical systems.

4) In depth-knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance techniques including the use of SAP PM to manage these processes.

5) Knowledge with relevant national and international codes and standards.

6) Basic Knowledge of ASU / HYCO / CO2 plants including the associated hazards

7) Experience in root cause failure analysis (RCA)

8) Strong capability to facilitate or lead risk assessments and make risk based decisions

Required Qualifications / experience:

1) Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

2) Min 5 years of experience as electrical maintenance and/or design engineer for process plants with high voltage systems.

3) Experience of using CMMS system preferably SAP PM would be an advantage

4) Registered Professional Engineer(PE) would be an advantage.
