Electrical Engineer - M&E Consultancy (KL/Penang)

We are seeking experienced Intermediate to Senior Electrical Design Engineers to support the design and coordination of large-scale industrial construction projects, including data centers, semiconductor plants, and high-tech manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate has a strong background in building services engineering and a deep understanding of complex, high-reliability systems.

about the job

• Design & Engineering: Prepare detailed designs for LV/HT distribution, standby generators, lighting, lightning protection, and earthing systems.

• ELV Systems: Design Extra Low Voltage infrastructure, including Fire Alarm (BOMBA compliance), PA, CCTV, and ICT networks.

• Calculations: Perform load flow analysis, short circuit calculations, voltage drop analysis, and cable sizing using industry-standard software.

• Authority Liaison: Lead submissions and applications to TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), MCMC, and relevant local councils.

• Tender Management: Develop technical specifications, Bill of Quantities (BQ), and provide technical evaluations during the tender stage.

• Project Coordination: Collaborate with Architects and C&S Engineers to ensure seamless multi-disciplinary integration.

• Site Supervision: Attend site meetings and conduct inspections to ensure the contractor's work complies with design specifications and safety standards.

skills/requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or any related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Electrical design in the building services or industrial sector.

• Strong knowledge of relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).

• Familiarity with local and international engineering codes and standards.
