Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the engineering team to develop the first Solid State Active Thermal Solution for laptops, ensuring optimal heat dissipation and system performance.
Design and optimize multilayer PCB layouts for both high-speed digital and analog circuits.
Coordinate with mechanical engineers and PCB layout designers to meet combined electrical, mechanical, and thermal requirements.
Perform thermal analysis and simulations to validate thermal reliability and compliance with design specifications.
Work cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to drive smooth product development.
Execute hardware design tasks including component selection, schematic capture, and layout verification.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to signal integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal performance, and board bring-up.
Support prototype builds, hardware testing, and system validation activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical hardware design, with expertise in PCB layout and hardware validation.
Strong knowledge of thermal design principles and proficiency with thermal simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS Icepak, FloTHERM).
Solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and board-level design best practices.
Hands-on experience with high-speed interfaces (e.g., USB, PCIe, DDRx, Ethernet).
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with DFX principles (Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Test, etc.).
Practical experience with lab equipment such as bench power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition tools.
Knowledge of thermal testing techniques and equipment (e.g., thermocouples).
Exposure to regulatory compliance testing (FCC, CE, UL, etc.).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Excellent communication abilities with clear documentation practices.
