Job Description

a. Control Panel Design

Review operations requirements (e.g. logic diagrams, process flow diagrams, control philosophy, single line diagrams etc) to develop:

1. Control Panel Schematics for wiring
2. Control Panel General Arrangement Drawings for fabrication
3. Control Panel Bill of Materials (BOM) for procurement

b. QC, Testing & Commissioning of Control Panels

1. Perform QC inspections on manufactured Control Panels against design documents
2. Factory testing of Control Panel functions and automation controls
3. Troubleshooting and modification of Control Panels and systems

c. Package Electrical & Instrumentation Design

Review contract specifications to develop package design documents such as:

1. Single Line Diagrams
2. Logic Diagrams
3. Control Philosophy
4. Loop Diagrams
5. other related engineering documents

d. Package Testing & Commissioning

1. Perform testing & commissioning of complete packaged equipment according to approved documents

Candidate Requirements

1. Degree/Higher Diploma in electrical, control systems or related automation systems engineering
2. Minimum 3 years experience using CAD software (e.g. EPLAN, Solidworks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical) to design wiring schematics for control panels containing PLC (or other microprocessor based controllers), hardwire logic relays, buttons and switches
3. produce BOM (Bill of Materials) for the panel
4. produce GAD (General Arrangement Drawings) for the panel
5. Occasional requirement to travel to site (local and overseas) for 1-2 days or 1-2 weeks (typically, subject to project requirements)
6. Fluent in English and Malay
7. Advantages to have PLC (Siemens, ABB, Allen Bradley, Omron or other manufacturers) programming experience
8. Advantages with familiarity with Solidworks Electrical Schematic software
9. Advantages to have design of control panels manufactured for supply to oil & gas facilities and similar process plants
