Join our Emerging Talent Trainee Program

The Baker Hughes Emerging Talent Trainee Program is designed to enable recent graduates to develop the professional, technical, and business skills needed to build a successful long-term career. Over 24 months, you will gain hands-on experience, structured development, and exposure to commercial operations while working alongside experienced professionals.

Our program will give you first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that help deliver commercial excellence and support customer success. Through real business projects, mentoring, and on-the-job learning, you will build a strong foundation for future opportunities within Baker Hughes.

As an Emerging Talent Trainee, you will participate in focused training, team meetings, business projects, and development activities designed to accelerate your learning journey. Throughout the program, you will be supported by your manager, mentors, and colleagues to ensure you gain valuable experiences and exposure across the business.

You will have the opportunity to learn about commercial operations, proposal management, contract fundamentals, risk assessment, sales support processes, and customer-focused business solutions. You will also become familiar with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) culture of Baker Hughes, as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

As an Emerging Talent Trainee, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the preparation of commercial proposals, quotations, bids, and tender documentation.

  • Learning and applying commercial processes, systems, and business tools.

  • Assisting with customer opportunity tracking, reporting, and data analysis.

  • Collaborating with sales, commercial, finance, operations, and project management teams.

  • Supporting contract review activities and commercial compliance requirements.

  • Participating in commercial risk assessment and business approval processes.

  • Assisting with order booking and project handover activities.

  • Conducting market research and business analysis to support commercial initiatives.

  • Working on cross-functional projects that drive business performance and operational excellence.

  • Presenting project outcomes, recommendations, and lessons learned to key stakeholders.

  • Continuously developing technical, business, and leadership capabilities through formal and informal learning opportunities.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, International Business, or a related field.

  • Have graduated within the last 12 months from the program start date.

  • Have a maximum of 12 months of full-time working experience (excluding internships, industrial attachments, cooperative education programs, and part-time employment).

  • Have maintained a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent in your country.

  • Be fluent in oral and written English and have effective communication skills.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

  • Show leadership potential through academic projects, student organizations, community involvement, or extracurricular activities.

  • Be willing to learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced, global environment.

  • Be legally entitled to work within the country in which you are applying without sponsorship or time restrictions.
