ROLE OVERVIEW
The AI & ML Engineer designs, builds, and deploys machine learning models and AI solutions that convert complex data into actionable insights. You will develop, evaluate and implement AI/ML models and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent solutions that drive business outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● DEVELOP AI & ML SOLUTIONS
Design, build and train machine learning and deep learning models for classification, regression, clustering, time series forecasting, recommendation systems and more.
● COMPUTER VISION & VIDEO ANALYTICS
Develop and optimise computer vision models to detect, count and classify objects, estimate speed, queue length and detect incidents from traffic video streams with high accuracy.
● ADVANCED ANALYTICS & INSIGHTS
Create dashboards, analytical reports and visualizations that reveal trends, patterns and performance indicators to support operational and strategic decisions.
● DATA PREPARATION & MODELING
Transform raw data into high-quality datasets. Perform feature engineering, model selection, training, validation and hyperparameter tuning.
● PREDICTIVE MODELING & FORECASTING
Build predictive models for traffic flow, demand forecasting and incident likelihood to enable proactive planning and decision-making.
● MODEL DEPLOYMENT & MONITORING
Deploy AI/ML models to production environments, monitor performance, detect drift and retrain models to maintain accuracy and reliability.
● MODEL GOVERNANCE & ETHICS
Ensure models are explainable, unbiased, secure and compliant with data privacy requirements and ethical AI practices.
● COLLABORATE & INNOVATE
Work closely with data engineers, developers, domain experts and stakeholders to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that create real impact.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence,
Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
● Professional certifications are an advantage:
● Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, probability and linear algebra.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
● Minimum 5 years of experience in AI, machine learning or data analytics.
● At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying ML models in real-world environments.
● Experience in computer vision and video analytics is an advantage.
● Proven experience working with large datasets, real-time data streams and high-volume data pipelines.
● Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, OpenCV).
● Experience with MLOps, model deployment, API integration and production monitoring.
● Experience in transportation, smart city, surveillance or traffic analytics projects is highly desirable.
