Engineer - BTC2

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repair and maintenance of production molds
• Improve critical molds and reduce machine downtime related to mold issues
• Troubleshoot and analyze problems systematically; implement effective solutions for continuous improvement
• Involve in in-house mold making, assembly, and follow-up until the first mass production
• Modify existing and new molds as needed
• Collaborate with external mold makers on mold improvement initiatives
• Lead and support training, development, safety, and discipline of departmental staff
• Operate and handle conventional tooling machines
• Ensure proper maintenance and safety of equipment and machinery, including adherence to 5S standards
• Participate in mold design reviews and lead projects during development to minimize engineering changes and cost
• Contribute to achieving departmental goals in line with the company's vision, mission, and quality policy
• Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and support cost-saving initiatives
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department

Job Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Mold & Die, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing
• 35 years of experience in injection moulding, molds, and tooling
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of 3D design software is an added advantage
• Good communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
