Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the entire IP process in R&D from monitoring to maintaining, you're the go-to expert.
- Partner with R&D engineers to identify cutting-edge technologies and inventions, evaluating them for patentability, infringement risk, freedom to operate, and state-of-the-art insights.
- Lead and energize internal patent forums that keep innovation front and center.
- Dive into inventions, perform IP searches, and handle the drafting and prosecution of patent applications both in Malaysia and internationally.
- Coordinate with external parties such as legal firms and patent offices to ensure smooth and timely IP filings.
- Always look for smarter, more efficient ways to improve our IP processes and support business goals.
- Ensure everything we do aligns with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Chemical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field especially with experience or exposure to Intellectual Property. (A solid academic track record from a reputable university, with a CGPA of 3.0 / Second Upper or above)
- A good understanding of air-conditioning systems and components will be an added advantage.
- Experience in project handling or cross-functional collaboration will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills you'll be working with engineers, legal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Sharp decision-making and problem-solving abilities to keep our IP processes running smoothly.
- Solid project management skills to juggle timelines, documents, and innovation with ease.
