Engineer, Grain Storage

Job Responsibilities

1. Support the Manager in planning and coordinating grain receiving activities during vessel arrivals.
2. Assist in arranging manpower and preparing work schedules for departmental operations.
3. Support the planning and monitoring of grain transfer activities to the flour mill, feed mill, and for sales.
4. Ensure proper grain handling and conditioning procedures are consistently followed.
5. Implement fumigation and pest control programs to maintain grain quality and safety.
6. Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date grain inventory records.
7. Coordinate with the Engineering Department on machinery maintenance and improvement initiatives.
8. Participate in troubleshooting operational issues within the grain storage area.
9. Ensure grain storage operations comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs), ISO, GMP, and workplace safety and health regulations.
10. Adhere to and implement GMP and FSMS (Food Safety Management System) requirements.
11. Perform any other duties as assigned by the company.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
2. Relevant experience in grain storage, logistics, or operations is an added advantage.
3. Strong coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced and operational environment.
